Both Pastor Eugene Lyons and his wife (First Lady, Dorothy) were truly ordained servants of God. It was Always their Intention to check and Help others, not Only from their Church, but to the whole community as well. My Mom and I were members of Pastor Lyon's church until we became sick and unable to drive from Rocky Mount to Whitakers especially in Winter Months. Both Pastor Lyons and Dorothy were our best Friends and we would often get together at my Mother's Former Home. I can still hear Pastor Lyons say: Yes, God is Good. I can also hear God and Jesus saying to both: Welcome Home to Glory. I have Your Mansion already ready for You. I am very Lucky to have met both. Pastor Lyons baptized Me @ Red Hill Baptist Church.. Both pastor Lyons and Sister Dorothy knew NO RACE Boundary. All were Welcome at the Church and All were loved.. God Bless All the Family! John S Sutton.

God is love. I created you in my image in my lightness. Your "faithfulness" has reached to the skies. You have reflected my Glory to others. Your love, not only reaches heaven but decends upon others.
See me smiling on you in radiant approval. My limitless "Love", will continually fall upon others like heavenly snowflakes that melts away this dark world, and help others to know me.
You have caught a good fight. You have finished your course. You have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for you a crown of righteousness. "Come home!" My good and faithful servants, enter into the portals of Glory." You will dearly be missed. Our loss, but heavens gain.

With great sadness and awe I ask God to send His blessing to this family. I've known Eugene for a long time and he has always been the same, reaching out to God for guidance, replenishing of spirit, and renewal of love. While we at times seemed to only see the downside and the negativity in a situation, Eugene always saw the silver lining.... always the positive. Eugene, you will be sorely missed.

My condolence to the family. Death is an enemy soon to be destroyed-i Corinthians 15:26. Losing a loved one in death brings pain and suffering , but Jehovah God is aware of your loss and your feelings . He gives comfort in times of need-2 Corinthians 1:3-4. All those in His memory will benefit from the promise made at John 5:28-29. I do hope you will read these scriptures in your copy of the Bible and receive comfort.
