Delores Elmeta (Lewis) Cooper

Delores, was born on December 8, 1946 in Nash County, NC. to the late Percy Lewis and Elmeta Lewis. She was educated and graduated from the Nash County Schools in North Carolina. She attended First Calvary Baptist Church in Rocky Mount, North Carolina at an early age where she continued to serve faithfully on the Hospitality Committee and a member of the Jones Chorus under the leadership of Pastor Solomon S. Jones.

She left to hold in loving memory her son, Eric Cooper; one grandson, Demetrace Cooper; four sisters, Carolene Lewis of Burlington, NC. Mildred Cunningham (Tommy) of Virginia, Vernelle Whitehead of Nashville, NC and Michelle Graham of Durham, NC. along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law, other relatives and friends.

A Memorial will be held: Saturday March 24, 2018 at 12:30pm at Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

Services are by Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.
