Callie Mae (Whitley) Gamble: was born in Wilson County on September15,1930 to the late Reuben Kenion and Letha Whitley Barnes .

Leaving to mourn are her children; Rosa Battle (John Earl) of Washington DC, Curtis Gamble (Claudia) of Philadelphia PA. Mary Foreman (Donnie) of Rocky Mount NC, Pearlie Parker (William) of Rocky Mount NC, and Pastor Iva G. Davis (Deacon Napoleon) Nashville NC, sixteen grandchildren; Bryant Johnson, Sabrina Crichlow (Gabriel) Kurtis Gamble (Najah) Sha'ron Bailey (Orlando), Sophia Battle, Ricky Gamble, Tammi Phillip (Marlon), Michael Watson (Christine), Terry Thomas (Diana), Michelle Harper, Napoleon Davis II, Tisha Battle (Jeff), Patrick Davis, Shantel Mcpherson (John), Dr. Quintin Davis (Celeste), and Shahonda Pope. Twenty- four great grandchildren and thirty-three great great grandchildren. First-cousins; Katie Mae Thomas (a very special cousin), and Willie Frank Williams, both of Rocky Mount NC. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. And a special friend Mary Greer.
