Johnnie Earl White

I have fought a good fight. I have finished my course, I have kept the faith; Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness which the lord, the righteous Judge, shall give me at that day 2 Timothy 4;7-8.

Johnnie was born to the late Leroy and Dorothy Barnes White, in Fountain NC., on February 20, 1940. He worked for Charter Buses for years in New York City and with Atlantic Express in Jamaica Queens, New York. His last job was with Tar River Transit Bus Company until 2018. Johnnie was a singer with James Coley and the Calvary Gospel Singers, out of Rocky Mount NC.

Johnnie leaves to cherish his percious memories his wife: Rev. Elizabeth White, of 53 years, his daughters: Gwendolyn(Kelvin) Williams, Theresa White and Willie May Pendergrass, his brother: Richard White of New Haven, Ct., Jearlean White, of Rocky Mount NC., Dannie(Gwendolyn) White, of Rocky Mount NC. and Emma D. White of St. Albans, Queens New York., Gloria Garvin of Raleigh NC., seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, one Aunt, and one uncle, and a host of other relatives and friends.
