Marcus Lejuan Whitted was born on February 25, 1972. He was the first born between him and his twin sister Monica, to the late Joseph Davis and Susie Whitted. Marcus graduated from southwest Edgecombe high school in 1990. As a student he excelled academically and in sports. He had a passion for football. He played on the Junior Varsity and Varsity football teams in high school and received many accolades and MVP awards. He received a football scholarship to North Carolina Central University.
Marcus had a kind and gentle spirit. He leaves to cherish his memories his mother Susie Whitted, one son Talvious Javon Jenkins (Monia) of Wilson, N.C., two daughters, Marqueahuan Whitehead and Marquedra Whitted of Rocky Mount : five grandchildren Jayden Jenkins of Wilson, Cali Williamson, Kailyn Ricks, Kamryn Ricks, and Janicento Williamson ll of Rocky Mount, two sisters: Monica Pittman (Anton), of Tarboro and Michelle Sweet (Ronald) of Whitakers, Three brothers Trevor McClain, Jamar Bell of Rocky Mount, Corey Jenkins (Shelita) of Raleigh, NC Four nieces Brittany Whitted and Courtney Whitted of Rocky Mount. Nia'Jay Pittman and Adasia Pittman of Tarboro. Five nephews Anton Pittman and Antwoin Pittman of Tarboro, Jamoni Whitted, Jah'Kea Bullock and Jacoby Bullock of Rocky Mount, Ten Aunts and Ten Uncles, his loving cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
