Marjorie Pittman (Hill) Joyner

Marjorie Hill Pittman Joyner, daughter of the late Merlin Hill, Sr. and Lizzie Jones Hill was born on October 1, 1939 in Halifax County, NC. She departed this earthly life on Monday 6/12/2018 at Home Health and Hospice Center in Goldsboro N.C. She attended Halifax Public Schools. She was a Sunday School Teacher at First Baptist Church in Halifax.She was preceded in death by two grandsons; Shondale and Dwane; two sisters, Patricia Hill Cowan and Rebecca Belinda "Linda" Cutts, and one brother, Merlin Hill, Jr.

She had a generous heart and pleasant personality, she was loved by many. She will be missed. However, her beautiful spirit will remain with her family and friends forever.

She married the late Fate Pittman Jr. in 1955. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished by her children: Connie and Dwane Cowan, Janice Pittman and Melvin Pittman of Rocky Mount N.C.
