Yvonne (Arrington) Murphy

Yvonne Arrington Murphy, daughter of the late Arthur and Carrie Lee Arrington was born December 18, 1957 in Brooklyn, New York.
She departed this life on April 26, 2021 at Post Acute Medical in Rocky Mount, NC, after a lengthy illness. Yvonne attended Nash County Public Schools. She worked at Carolina Enterprise in Tarboro, NC for years. After leaving that job she worked as head cook at Grifton Grill in Dortches until her health failed.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Yvonne loved family and enjoyed cooking, celebrating holidays, birthdays, and anniversaries. She was proud of her grandchildren and enjoyed their visits on weekends.
She leaves to cherish her memory; her loving husband, James Murphy of 22 years, son Ronald Branch, two brothers, Elijah Cooper (Doris) and Arthur Arrington, Jr. (Lorette); one sister, Diane Arrington, three grandchildren, Kendall Branch, Nathan Branch, Joseph Godwin; two great grand children, Kaiden Branch, Jaxson Branch. Aunts Dorothy Davis, Della Tucker (James), Dorothy Richardson, uncle Riley Richardson. Nieces, nephews, three sister in laws, 5 brother in laws, and a host of relatives and friends. A very special friend Lola Davis.
